Jackson Playfair is originally from Fort Saint James, BC. Prior to joining the RINK Hockey Academy, Jackson served as the Assistant coach with the University of British Columbia, where he made significant contributions to player development and team success.

As the newly appointed coach of the RINK Hockey Academy U17 Red team, Jackson brings a wealth of experience both as a player and as a coach to his role.

With a playing career that includes notable achievements such as representing Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and playing in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) for the Orlando Solar Bears, Jackson has honed his skills and gained invaluable insights into the sport. His time on the ice has nurtured an understanding of the game's nuances, enabling him to offer guidance and mentorship to his players.

Jackson's commitment to personal growth and education led him to graduate from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2019. Armed with a well-rounded education and a deep knowledge of the game, he seamlessly transitioned into coaching roles.

Beyond the rink, Jackson is a dedicated family man. He is blessed with a loving wife, Jessica, and two beautiful children, Calihan (3 and a half) and Cove (18 months). This personal foundation instills in him a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and integrity, which he brings to every aspect of his coaching role.

With his vast playing experience, educational background, and a commitment to the holistic development of his players, Jackson Playfair is poised to make an impact. His relentless pursuit his genuine passion for the game make him an invaluable asset to the team and a beacon of inspiration for young athletes.
